On the final day of the 2003 Executive Forum, held in early February, ITT Industries Chairman, President and CEO Lou Giuliano announced the winners of the second annual Chairman's Award. These awards honor the businesses that are making strong strides in terms of ITT Industries' three core strategies: Leadership, Growth and Operational Excellence. Unlike the company's other top prizes like the Geneen Awards and Ring of Quality Awards, which honor individuals and teams, the Chairman's Award recognizes the achievements of an entire value center. Management company presidents nominate the businesses they believe best embody the corporate strategies, and Lou Giuliano selects the ultimate award recipients.
