ITT's ADS-B Team Chosen to Bid on FAA Air Traffic Control Upgrade

White Plains, NY - February 27, 2007 - ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) today announced that a team led by the company is one of three chosen by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to submit a proposal for a major air traffic control system modernization program. The modernization program, Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B), is the first and vital building block of the Next Generation Air Transportation Systems (NGATS), due to be completed by 2025. NGATS is the vision developed by the FAA led inter-agency Joint Program Development Office that ensures the National Airspace System's ability to provide safe and efficient air travel in the face of significant forecast growth.

In its ADS-B pursuit, ITT is teamed with AT&T, Thales, WSI, SAIC, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Sunhillo and Aerospace Engineering. Team members were chosen by ITT based upon the unique experience and complementary skills brought by each member, and in combination to deliver "Best Value" to FAA. The ITT team submitted a detailed design and business case response that was scrutinized and evaluated by a panel of FAA subject-matter experts in technical, business and cost areas.

"We're very pleased to be selected to compete for the opportunity to partner with the FAA in this critical endeavor to make air travel more seamless," said John Kefaliotis, ITT's ADS-B team leader. "We look forward to working with our teammates to continue ITT's 60-year legacy of innovation in air traffic control technology."
