ITT wins International Stevie Award for global citizenship efforts in Asia

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., September 27, 2010 — ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that its signature corporate citizenship program, ITT Watermark®, has won an International Stevie® Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in Asia in the 2010 International Business Awards‰„Ê. The International Business Awards is a global program honoring great performances in business across a variety of categories.

ITT Watermark was recognized for its efforts to provide access to safe water and sanitation to children and families in Asia, among other developing areas around the world. In Asia, ITT Watermark partners with China Women's Development Foundation to provide safe water pumps, hand washing stations and latrines to rural schools and with Mercy Corps to secure safe water supplies for people in times of emergency, such as after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. At the end of its first three years (2008-2010), ITT's global citizenship efforts will have improved the lives of 200,000 people in China and more than 500,000 people around the world.

ITT Watermark was also named a Stevie Distinguished Honoree for Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in subcontinent Asia, Australia and New Zealand and in North America.

By the end of 2010, ITT Watermark will have provided safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to 300 schools in Guatemala, Honduras, India, and China and responded to natural disasters in more than 10 countries including Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. Earlier this month, ITT Watermark announced a significant expansion of its program, pledging $10.5 million to reach an additional one million people by 2013.

The 2010 International Stevie Award winners were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 countries.
