Innovative design reduces total cost of ownership, cuts maintenance time up to 90 percent

NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2014 – ITT Corporation's (NYSE: ITT) Engineered Valves brand has launched a new line of hygienic diaphragm valves designed to dramatically reduce maintenance time and total cost of ownership for today's BioPharm manufacturing facilities. As the latest platform to be added to the Engineered Valves product family, the EnviZion™ valve helps customers install, operate and maintain their systems more efficiently and reliably.

"This product advancement is the culmination of ITT's 65 years of experience in valve design, development, manufacturing, installation and automation," said Aris Chicles, president of ITT's Industrial Process business. "The EnviZion valve supports the BioPharm industry's goals to increase productivity and improve reliability, making it an ideal solution for our customers."

EnviZion's embedded technologies allow for a more streamlined installation and maintenance process, delivering less downtime, longer preventative maintenance cycles and greater production capacity for manufacturers.

Assembled with a simple mount and turn motion, the EnviZion valve is installed in approximately three minutes without using any special tools or difficult torqueing procedures. The valve's 360° active seal protection provides leak-free operation, helping eliminate the risk of contamination and the need to re-torque after thermal cycling.

"The EnviZion valve has been developed with one overarching goal – to reduce the customer's total ownership costs and plant downtime, keeping production on-line with fewer interruptions," said Paul McClune, global product manager at ITT Engineered Valves. "Its unique design is setting a new standard for valves in the BioPharm industry, and creates a trouble-free experience for the end user."
