Each year,
Institutional Investor magazine surveys thousands of top portfolio managers and analysts to determine its “All-America Executive Team.” The recently released 2019 list features ITT Chief Financial Officer Tom Scalera as one of the best CFOs of mid-cap companies (less than $10 billion in market capitalization) in the capital goods/industrials sector. His second place ranking marks the first appearance of an ITT executive on the list since our company’s divestiture in 2011.

The highly regarded list – which features the best Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Investor Relations professionals and programs – is often used as a guide for investors and analysts on which companies and stocks to follow.
Scalera, who has served as ITT’s CFO since the divestiture, was selected by analysts and money managers on the “buy-side” who engage in financial research to determine whether companies are likely to deliver optimal investment returns. During Scalera’s seven-plus year tenure as CFO, ITT’s market capitalization has increased by more than 260 percent.
Beyond the numbers, the voters identified winners – from across 44 industries – who excel in providing a timely and appropriate level of financial disclosure, responding quickly and thoroughly to requests, hosting constructive conference calls, and other attributes. Under Scalera’s financial leadership, ITT has delivered in all those areas, earning him a place on the
Institutional Investor’s coveted list.
