ITT Industrial Process business helps customers lower costs and avoid equipment failures

Reliability specialist will share expertise in webinar on Nov. 10

Nov. 8, 2011, SENECA FALLS, N.Y. – ITT’s Industrial Process business has a long history of helping customers manage their industrial assets to avoid equipment failures and lower their cost of doing business. On Nov. 10, the business will partner with Pumps & Systems magazine to share that expertise with a broad array of plant managers, supervisors, equipment engineers and maintenance professionals.

“Most industrial plants treat pump repairs as a cost of doing business that can’t be avoided, when data shows that only 11 percent of failures are caused by wear,” said ITT Reliability Specialist Tom Dabbs, who has more than 30 years of experience helping industrial customers improve equipment reliability with behavior-based solutions.

“Just as we expect our cars to run without failure when they are operated and maintained properly, pump users need to understand that most repairs are a failure of maintenance and can be avoided through proper asset management.”

Dabbs will share industry benchmarks for reliability and best practices for maintenance in a free webinar sponsored by ITT Industrial Process and moderated by Michelle Segrest, editor of Pumps & Systems magazine. Details are below:
