ITT releases 2010-2011 report highlighting key achievements in global citizenship

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., September 23, 2011 — ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) today released an executive summary highlighting the company’s recent achievements in key areas of global citizenship. The 2010-2011 report outlines ITT’s progress in areas including sustainability, ethics, diversity and philanthropy.

Key highlights of ITT’s citizenship work include progress in:

  • Environment, Health, Safety—ITT’s facilities have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 47 percent, energy consumption by 24 percent and water consumption by 36 percent since 2005.
  • Product Stewardship and Supply Chain—ITT’s Commercial businesses achieved a 35% increase in spending with diverse suppliers.
  • Governance and Ethics—98% of all ITT employees worldwide have completed Code of Conduct & Ethics training.
  • Community Involvement and Philanthropy—ITT contributed more than $360,000 to help disaster relief efforts following the March 2011 earthquake in Japan.
