COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., February 18, 2011 — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently honored ITT's Information Systems business with its Award of Distinction. This award was established in 1985 to recognize large federal contractors that have exceptional small business subcontracting programs which exceed the goals of the Small Business Act in utilizing small businesses on federal projects. Less than two percent of the large contractors overseen by the SBA are recipients of this award.

"ITT's ongoing efforts to identify and promote opportunities for small businesses have far exceeded government goals."

The SBA reviews large contractors to ensure compliance with subcontracting laws and regulations and then rates each company based on its participation in outreach activities, internal training and subcontracting goals. Any company rated outstanding may be nominated for the Award of Distinction. ITT has been rated outstanding for the past three years.
