ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) announced today that its Goulds Pumps' XHD Extra Heavy Duty Lined Slurry Pump has been honored with a 2012 Breakthrough Product of the Year Award by Processing magazine.
Processing magazine’s December issue recognized the XHD pump, along with other products, technologies and services that made significant contributions in the process industries within the last year and that are expected to impact the industry for years to come.
"As we continue our growth in the global mining industry, we are honored by this recognition from Processing magazine," said John Manna, vice president of global marketing for ITT's Goulds Pumps brand. "It speaks to our strong commitment to new product development as well as our 160-year heritage in the process industries."
The XHD pump has been designed for even the toughest slurry applications, such as primary metals, mineral processing, non-metallic mining, power utilities, and sand and aggregates. The XHD model can be maintained even while running, and features more accessible and adjustable components than other slurry pumps.
