Market-leading technologies offer flexible designs and customized solutions for the most challenging seismic damping requirements
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 14, 2014 – ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) and its Enidine brand will showcase highly engineered fluid viscous damping (FVD) technologies for seismic energy protection at the 10th U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering (10NCEE) on July 21-25. Expanding Enidine's energy absorption product segment, the latest FVD designs can be customized to fit the specified force-velocity relationship for various applications.
"ITT's FVD products are an ideal solution for structural protection against seismic forces," said Dr. Shubin Ruan, product development manager for ITT's Enidine brand. "Our extensive testing capabilities and intricate design techniques yield reliable products with longer life spans and unparalleled performance."
Featuring both long- and short-stroke dampers, ITT Enidine's broad portfolio of energy absorption products are proven to withstand the most adverse conditions. The newest designs allow for improved support, helping prevent catastrophic damage from seismic events to buildings, bridges and national assets.
"As a market leader in the seismic industry, ITT has a rich heritage of delivering customized solutions that are reliable, durable and efficient," said Jeff Weisbeck, Vice President of Sales for ITT's Control Technologies business. "Our adaptable technologies are engineered to meet the growing needs of today's global seismic marketplace, and we focus on working closely with our customers to solve their most difficult challenges."
The 10NCEE conference is hosted every four years by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). Attracting a broad range of exhibitors from the earthquake engineering market, this year's conference will feature a series of presentations and breakout sessions. Representatives from ITT's Enidine brand will be available for meetings at booth number 25 during the show.
