WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 26, 2016 – ITT Inc.'s (ITT: NYSE) Cannon brand has joined Charging Interface Initiative (CharIN) e.V., the world's foremost industry association for the development of global electric vehicle charging standards.
Established by a consortium of global automotive brands that includes BMW, General Motors, Daimler, Ford and Audi, CharIN e.V. and its members are working to develop a high-performance Combined Charging System (CCS) based on open, universal standards. The CSS will incorporate AC and DC charging in a single system along with the connector, inlet and control functions, providing a single solution for all global EV charging requirements.
