New sensor firmware upgrades provide users greater flexibility
SENECA FALLS, N.Y., July 31, 2018 – ITT Inc. (NYSE: ITT) today announced that it is continuing to improve its innovative Bluetooth® i-ALERT® Monitoring Solution portfolio, providing customers greater flexibility in using the solution to maximize the efficiency and total cost of ownership of rotating machines.
The i-ALERT2 sensor upgrade is the latest in our growing list of innovations and follows on the heels of the introduction of our pressure sensor in May of this year.
These upgrades improve battery performance, enable programmable monitoring intervals to detect faster transient fault conditions, and expand monitoring coverage to slower speed machines (such as cooling tower applications, air-cooled heat exchangers and large slow-speed pumps).
"These continuous improvements and portfolio expansions, driven by our users' feedback, provide customers greater flexibility when using our state-of-the-art Bluetooth® monitoring solution," said David Malinas, President of ITT Industrial Process. "The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology platform has enabled us to deliver sophisticated technology economically and efficiently. The i-ALERT Monitoring Solution enables users to continuously monitor all types of machines, spending less time collecting data from their rotating equipment and more time solving problems."
Starting today, the new i-ALERT2 V3 sensors and mounting adapters can now be ordered through the Industrial Process sales and distribution network (http://www.i-alert.com/pricing/).
